The Basics: Vinaigrette
“The Basics” is a blog series where I share the starting point for most of my culinary creations. These recipes are meant to be the base for wherever your culinary imagination takes you!
The Basics: Vinaigrette
Yields 1 cup of vinaigrette
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3 1/2 tablespoons honey
salt and pepper to taste
zest of 1/2 citrus (optional)
1/2 cup liquid mix-ins (cranberry juice, orange juice, etc.) (optional)
4 tablespoons fresh or dried herbs (optional)
Combine vinegar and oil into a blender, and blend until whipped and emulsified.
Add in honey, salt, pepper and mix-ins. Blend until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Refrigerate vinaigrette in an air-tight container until ready to use. Enjoy!
